Review #1 by Barbara Garcia for Readers’ Favorite (5 stars- Chaysing Destiny)

Chaysing Destiny: Book 3 by Jalpa Williby is the entrancing finale of this series. We are thrust into suspense as Tess is gripped by one of her prophetic, yet vague, nightmares. She awakes to find the Iraqi village she is working in administering medical aid is on fire, and gunshots ringing out. It’s under attack by rebels from a group known a FILO. While she rushes to save as many of the villagers as she can, we learn that she’s not just there for medical purposes. She’s there to find information on Saheim, the man she feels is responsible for Chayse’s death. Having secured the escape of many, she attracts the attention of the rebels to draw them away from the direction of the fleeing villagers. It’s here that she finds her man – literally finds her man. I had to hang on tight because the roller coaster ride Tess starts on from here on out was deftly portrayed. I highly recommend reading books 1 and 2 before starting this book. Author Jalpa Williby saved the very best for last in Chaysing Destiny. It moved me like no other book has in many years. If I could give this book 10 stars, I would!

Never has any book dragged me through so many emotions in just 4 and a half short hours. I was gripped with suspense from the first line, and just when I thought I could relax, I was outraged and wanted to strangle a certain someone. Indignation crept up on me from somewhere, and suddenly I found myself crying – yes, me, I was crying. Then, I gasped audibly and startled my husband by proclaiming, “No! You better not have!” I held my breath, horrified and fearful, for the next 5 minutes as a certain scene played out. I wasn’t sure at this point that my heart could take anymore. I almost cried with relief when the scene ended, but yipped in triumph instead. After all, everyone likes to see the devil get his due, yes? Almost exhausted, I was able to relax a bit before sadness overwhelmed me. And then the tears. Good God, I’m crying again. Darn you, Jalpa! Then came the cautious hope…then the tentative smile, and finally those darn tears again. But, as with all great stories, however wretched they may be, I shut my Kindle down, smiling and at peace. This series did exactly what all great series should. Thank you, Jalpa!

Chayse is dead and it is hard for Tess to mourn her lover and at the same time raise their baby alone. It gets harder when Tess is sent to Iraq as a missionary doctor on an assignment to find out some information about Saheim, one of the leaders of the notorious group FILO, in an attempt to find out about Chayse’s killers. Tess only accepted the mission to hopefully avenge his death. Her mission in Iraq was almost up when a group of terrorists sent the village up in flames and she came face to face with Saheim himself. What Tess finds out about him is definitely a shock. How will Tess take this new betrayal in Chaysing Destiny: Book 3 by Jalpa Williby?

Chaysing Destiny is the third and last book in the Chaysing Trilogy by Jalpa Williby, an astounding and sizzling conclusion to the series. The characters were better, more evolved, and the action and suspense were more thrilling. I think this is the best book in an already top-notch series. All the anticipation was worth it when I read this book. All the questions were answered and the monumental thing I was hoping for definitely happened. It was a gripping read and all the excitement built up to a fulfilling climax. I am very delighted with how all the problems worked out. There were a lot more heartbreaking scenes in this one but I loved how it all ended. Definitely another five-star read from Jalpa Williby.

Review #3 by Melinda Hills for Readers’ Favorite (5 stars- Chaysing Destiny)

Thank the stars for Jacen! That’s what Tess Sanoby thinks when she wonders how to live without the love of her life. Chayse disappeared in an explosion without even knowing Tess was pregnant and now his look-alike son is the center of her universe. In Chaysing Destiny, the third book in the Chaysing series by Jalpa Williby, Tess goes back to work to try to get her life back in order. A clandestine mission in Iraq leads to some amazing situations with terrorists and a first-hand look at how such an organization functions. Meeting someone from her past is almost more than she can handle but her strength of character and determination to return home to her son and friends are all that she needs to stay strong. Will Tess make it out of the terrorist camp and get home? Will her life ever be the same?

Excitement, danger, intrigue and deep emotions keep Chaysing Destiny moving quickly! A hard book to put down, it is the perfect conclusion to the Chaysing series by Jalpa Williby and leaves the reader wanting still more! In addition to great entertainment, Chaysing Destiny offers the reader a deep look into a variety of emotions and the incidents that have led people to the choices they make. Tess is fortunate to have wonderful friends who stand by her and her son; to try to take the place of the father who has not been part of Jace’s life. Tess is a strong woman who uses her special abilities to fight for what she believes is right and to protect those she loves. Will her heart ever mend?

Review by Crazy Book Reviewer (5 stars- Chaysing Destiny)

This Novel started out with a bang, and kept on shooting through the entire story. Twists that I would not have seen coming kept me glued to the pages. If I did not have to cook dinner for my family this would have been a one sitting book. As always Jalpa did an amazing job with her character builds. You can’t help but love her characters she has made them very human and easy to relate to. I love the strength that she has built Tess with, and it made me love her all the more. I feel like I have watched her grow up right in front of me. The changes that have taken place with Tess and Chayse were tremendous, but as you read this there is no disjoints, or hiccups where you go “wait what?”.
The story line in this novel has also jumped up a notch and evolved from the 2 previous novels. I am pretty sure I said “ NOOOOO” with my hand over my mouth at least half a dozen times. This time around there is a darker side that brings in modern day conflicts adding more real life to the fantasy and this leaves you gasping. And as if adding that was not enough Jalpa then went and added in more storyline from the past adding a brand new edge to the already amazing path weaved. The unpredictability helps hold you while Jalpa weaves her story line to finish this amazing trilogy with a flourish that has me in a book hang over. I am really going to miss these characters (Especially Chayse)
I would strongly suggest this read, just make sure you have the time to read it fast because you are not going to want to put it down.

Review by Linda Watkins, award-winning author (5 stars- Chaysing Destiny)

Chaysing Destiny, the final book in the “Chaysing Series”, begins with a bang and doesn’t let go. Tess has been sent to Iraq, undercover for the special forces, seeking to find the leader of a terrorist cell named Saheim. And that’s all I’m going to say about the plot – no spoilers here!

I have read all three books in the Chaysing series, and to say I was hooked from the first one is an understatement! I have followed Tess and Chayse through hell and high water, and yet nothing prepared me for this last installment. I had said the first one was my favorite, but now it is absolutely tied with this book for my favorite in the series. I was so sad to see it all end, but at the same time, Williby provides readers with a great ending, one that will not soon be forgotten.

Williby’s writing abilities only continue to grow and evolve, and her characters are so full of depth that they feel like old friends at this point. The action is pretty much non-stop from beginning to end. I absolutely refuse to give spoilers – I couldn’t possibly do that to you or to the author. Just know that if you’re a fan of action, adventure, suspense, thrills, and -most importantly- romance, this is one series you absolutely must pick up now.

**I received an advance copy of the book from the author in exchange for my fair and honest review.**This is a fast-paced, action-packed read full of tension and surprises. Tess, whom we have watched grow from a sheltered, innocent schoolgirl to a confident, mature and sometimes fierce young woman, finds herself surrounded by peril once again. Who should she trust? And is she right to follow her heart?

The previous two novels were written in the first person from Tessina’s point of view, but in this final novel, Ms. Williby lets us into the heads of some of the other characters, one of which is quite surprising! Ms. Williby’s writing is, as always, crisp and clean, without hyperbole or encumbrance. The dialogue is natural and refreshing and the characters are complex and intriguing.

This has been a really fun series to read. I almost found myself hoping that something dastardly would happen at the end to make Ms. Williby just have to write a fourth installment! However, I will be watching to see what she tackles next, perhaps another wonderful trilogy of stories!

For those who love action and romance, with a little bit of the paranormal thrown in, this series is most highly recommended.

Review by Sandy Richards, award-winning author (5 stars- Chaysing Destiny)

My goodness…where do I begin? I fell in love with the characters in Chaysing Dreams. I was shocked (and angered with the author) with the storyline in Chaysing Memories. I wasn’t sure what to expect with Chaysing Destiny. Ms. Williby tied up her action-packed trilogy perfectly portraying a love-hate relationship that was stoked with the fires of true love and had enough twists and turns to keep you in suspense. Her beautifully woven characters drew you into their lives and had you cheering for them, crying with them, all the time feeling like you were part of their journey.

I will continue to ruminate how the lives of the main characters have progressed since Chaysing Destiny. No spoilers! I will miss sweet Jacen, loving Gem, amazing friends in Kylie and Jack, steadfast family in Aunt Jenna, and of course, the strong, talented, intellectual and loving Tessnia. Fate is an interesting “character” that Ms. Williby has woven into her trilogy that not only makes you a believer, but it spurs you to believe that “love conquers all.”

Begin the journey walking through Chaysing Dreams…sprint through Chaysing Memories…and be prepared for a wild ride with Chaysing Destiny! The trilogy is a must read!!

Review #1 by Barbara Garcia for Readers’ Favorite (5 stars- Chaysing Memories)

In Chaysing Memories by Jalpa Williby, we find a now grown up Tess moving on with her life, and in training for the special forces in the U.S. Military. But all is not well in Tess’ world. She has memory lapses of a three-week time period she refers to as a “get-away.” She can’t remember where she was, why she was gone, or who she was with. And her dreams are back, dreams filled with beautiful grey eyes, but little else. She only knows that whoever it is made her very happy, but he left her. Her friend Kylie is able to fill in some of her “blank” spots, but it doesn’t jog her memory. Through her training, she is called upon to help find a missing agent named Chayse Pierce – the only other person her boss knows of that is like her, having special abilities. Tess figures out her dream and realizes she is certain she knows where Chayse may be, and she gets special help from her dog Gem in finding him. With her boss and the five special agents of Chayse’s team, Tess and Gem set out to find Chayse. Gem locates the underground base he’s being held in, and after a high tension, gripping battle, an emaciated and barely alive Chayse is taken from the facility and flown to a secret medical center. But with one mystery solved, Tess is confronted with even more as she struggles to unravel the mysteries still locked in her mind.

I could easily describe Chaysing Memories by Jalpa Williby in one word: WOW. I’ve read her first book in this series, Chaysing Dreams, so I knew Chaysing Memories would be good. I was blown away at just how incredibly good it was. Jalpa’s writing can only be described as pure literary artistry, and it is in clear abundance in Chaysing Memories. Right from the beginning, I was slowly inching my way to the edge of my seat. This story unfolds in one heart-racing scene after another. It’s not that the story is rushed; on the contrary, it is perfectly paced, but the very nature of the plot lends itself to the danger you know is lurking, and Ms. Williby allows it to come to life in some shocking moments. I’m truly impressed, almost beyond words. I’ve heard there is another book coming up, Chaysing Destiny. I’m not sure how Ms. Williby will be able to surpass the magic of Chaysing Memories, but you can bet I’ll be reading it to find out! I highly recommend this book, but if you want the full impact, I strongly suggest you read Chaysing Dreams first. Together, they will take your breath away.

Review #2 by Lorena Sanqui for Readers’ Favorite (5 stars- Chaysing Memories)

Chaysing Memories is the sequel to Chaysing Dreams by Jalpa Williby. It continues with Tess still being plagued with dreams about a certain gray-eyed man whom she doesn’t remember. She’s studying to be a doctor, and at the same time training to be a special agent for the US government. Her first mission will be to rescue Chayse Pierce who has been captured by an unknown group. It’s up to Tess to find and save him by getting signs from her dreams. Tess may not remember anything at all about Chayse or their past, but she can’t help but feel deep emotions for Chayse. These feelings drive her to decipher the clues immediately before it’s too late for Chayse.

Chaysing Memories is even better than the first book. Jalpa Williby put in more action and adventures, new interesting characters and more sensational twists. It was written well from the beginning until the end. I love how Tess was still in love with Chayse although she can’t remember him. I also liked how Chayse always looked out for Tess, even going as far as sacrificing himself. He is one impressive guy. I was kind of surprised with Jack and Kylie, but it was one of those sensational twists I was talking about. The plot developed well, the ending was heartbreaking but I’m still holding out hope that something monumental will happen in the third book. Still many questions are left unanswered, building the anticipation for the next book. I can’t wait to get my hands on the succeeding installment of this series.

Review #3 by Melinda Hills for Readers’ Favorite (5 stars- Chaysing Memories)

The heart often knows what the mind can’t or won’t accept. That is what defines Tess as she is confronted with a new man in her life. Chaysing Memories: Book 2 by Jalpa Williby describes the emotional turmoil Tess faces as she completes a dangerous assignment to locate and rescue a fellow agent. Born with special abilities, Tess dreams of a man with gray eyes and comes to realize he is trying to communicate with her. After the rescue, they become closer and closer, but Tess is tormented with excruciating headaches when certain thoughts run through her mind. She knows that her friends and even her dog, Gem, know something about the time period she can’t remember and what role Chayse has played in her life, but the physical pain keeps the memories hidden. Will she remember in time to make a difference in her life and enjoy the relationship she hopes to have with the mysterious agent?

Chaysing Memories: Book 2 picks up where Chaysing Dreams left off. Even without reading book 1, however, this book provides plenty of action and exposition so that it stands well by itself. Coming to terms with emotions is the key to this book by Jalpa Williby – not only for the main character, Tess, but for her friends as well. Tess learns that thinking harder about something does not always make it clearer – sometimes you just have to trust your heart and lean on your friends. When things look darkest, you still have to look for the ray of light to show you the way through and Tess derives strength from a secret she holds close.

Review by Long and Short Reviews (5 stars- Chaysing Memories)

They say you can’t beat Fate. Maybe they’re right.

What would you do if you can’t remember the one person in your life that means the world to you? What if you don’t have any of his memories?

Chaysing Memories feels so personal. I think this is where I congratulate the author. Though the first book was good, this second book was incredible. The writing was exceptional, emotional and descriptive.

Tess doesn’t remember Chayse but her world comes crashing down when she realizes she has lost three weeks of her life. From then on starts a fight where life and happiness is at stake. Chayse is trapped in hell and the only person who can save is the one who does not remember him.

Maybe I am being a little cheesy but this story shows you the power of love and of the mind and how fate has a hand in our lives.

A lot of secrets in her life are unraveled. A myriad of different events occur that will make her much stronger. The plot was well developed and the author made sure the mystery and suspense element of the book stayed through until the end.

I loved every part of this, from the beginning to the end. My heart went out to them every time it felt like they are going to lose each other. But they stayed strong until the end. The ending….I was surprised. I think that’s all I can say without giving something away.

For readers, I would very much recommend they read from book 1 first. l loved the second book. It made me cry and hope for more of this story to come. Those who love an epic love story should check this series out.

Review by Swooning Over Books (5 stars- Chaysing Memories)

Chaysing Memories is the second story in Jalpa Williby’s Chaysing trilogy. If you have not read Chaysing Dreams I suggest you stop reading this review as it could contain spoilers pertaining to the first book.

I fell in love with Tess and Chayse in the first book. I loved the twist and turns and the paranormal/scifi feel on the books. It was different from the other novels I had been reading. Chaysing Memories is no different. This novel is not your run of the mill romance novel. It is thrilling and had me on the edge of my seat in suspense.
At the end of Chaysing Dreams, Chayse must make a difficult decision. One that will change his and Tess’ life forever. That decision left Tess with large gaping holes where her most precious memories of Chayse once lived. Chaysing Memories is the story of Tess’ journey to regain what she has lost, in more ways than one.
Jalpa did an excellent job not only reacquainting the characters with one another but also making me fall further in love with them. The one and only gripe I have over this book is the ending! Be warned it has one hell of a cliffhanger. I think I am still in denial, but hope to be pleasantly surprised with the third book.

Happy Reading!

Review by Crazy Book Reviewer (5 stars- Chaysing Memories)

So how in the world is Tess’ heart and head going to handle losing Chayse especially considering that she does not remember him? That does not stop her dreams though, can she actually sort through her dreams in time to come up with what she is missing? And in time ………. In return can he save her, even if it is from himself?

I love a good love story especially when it is love lost and rekindled. However reading this book was an adventure because the story line was very new to me and original. I loved this story from start to finish. Jalpa has an amazing writing style that enables her to gather several smaller story lines and intertwine them with her main story. This adds so much more to dimension to an already wonderful book. You don’t just fall in love with the main characters or story, you tie in with everyone and everything.

Well let me tell you that Jalpa had me so emotionally invested in the characters and story with her writing that I am not sure how I am going to survive the wait for Chaysing Destiny. While I hate being left in limbo (especially when I am in love with the series) this book left the story in a god place. Not a huge cliff hanger, but enough unanswered questions and unfinished business to keep you waiting for the new release
ALL IN ALL — LOVED LOVED LOVED this Novel

I am absolutely in love with this trilogy. I didn’t think it could top Chaysing Dreams but I was wrong. Chaysing Memories was amazing. I read this book in 24 hours (and it’s not a short book). I couldn’t put it down. I kept coming up with scenarios as to what was going to happen next and every time I was surprised as I kept reading. I teared up so many times in this book. I can say so much about it but I don’t want to give anything away. I have an idea of how book 3 might turn out or maybe I just hope how it turns out. “One day at a time.” I can’t wait to read book 3. I highly recommend this trilogy to anyone. It’s filled with lots of love, action, suspense, and so much more. Good job Jalpa Williby!

Review by Author Regina M. Joseph (5 stars- Chaysing Memories)

Chaysing Memories continues the fast-paced action of Chaysing Dreams. Tess is unable to remember what happened during the preceding weeks, and she is unable to remember someone special in her life. Nevertheless, dreams give her clues, and she has learned to trust her dreams.

It’s hard to write more about the story without creating a spoiler. Suffice it to say that the most startling development of all occurs at the end, leaving the reader craving for the next book in the series.

In Chaysing Memories, Ms. Williby continues her excellent character development, strong plot, and fast-paced action.

Review by Author Colleen Bratley (5 stars- Chaysing Memories)

The continuing saga is nothing shy of thoroughly entertaining.

The characters have developed some, especially Tess with her maturity. Her graceful step up and Chayse’s virility connect so strongly that they seep into your psyche and mesh for quite some time. I found myself thinking about the story long after it ended, and since there is one more sequel, wondering what would happen next. I know what I want to happen, and I can only hope my wishes come true.

The second book resumes pretty much where the first one left off and didn’t have a lot of back story that you had to read. I like that. Because, if you haven’t read the first one, what are you doing reading the second one of a series? I don’t want to help you get the picture; I want to get on with the show. Fortunately, this book gets right on with the show and I was not disappointed with it either. It was fun, well paced and easily engrossed you with the characters and their lives.

Tess was a very naive young girl in the first book, but comes into her own in the second. The great part is, the love story actually brings her to fruition and Chayse was developed to sizzle the picture. This guy was… well let’s just say I hated it when he wasn’t in the scene. Crazy? Yeah, I know. But, he was just my kind of guy, and he is what made the story so great for me. Tess was interesting, but being female, she didn’t quicken my heart. Know what I mean?

The love scenes again are well written without being offensive or crude. They were much more tender but passionate and driven which fit the story perfectly.

The supporting characters came more into the story line this time giving some depth to Tess and Chayse. It gave them more substance and credibility allowing the reader to feel more of their emotions and understand some of their thoughts outside of the immediate scene. It was just well done.

Many times romance novels can be pretty predictive, not only in steps but concept as well. I didn’t feel that way with this story. It wasn’t earth shattering events, well some were actually quite, okay enormously surprising, and even when they weren’t I couldn’t predict how things would unfold. I love that.

Review #1 by Melinda Hills for Readers’ Favorite (5 stars- Chaysing Dreams)

Many teens outshine their peers but Tess has the rest beat by a mile. In Chaysing Dreams by Jalpa Williby, Tess enjoys success, popularity, and a loving family in spite of being plagued by nightmares and recurring visions of a dark cloud. Over the course of almost 10 years, Tess excels at sports and academics but never forgets the young man she met on her 16th birthday.

As she faces some of life’s toughest challenges, it is apparent that Tess has special abilities and a guardian angel who comes to her rescue at just the right times. Even with the support of her two best friends and a loving dog, Tess struggles to overcome a devastating loss. Learning to follow her instincts and trust her intuition, Tess moves forward and discovers love but at a terrible cost.

Surprising abilities, a connection to a mysterious guardian, and the devotion of an exceptional dog help Tess succeed in everything she does except for understanding and escaping the nightmares and dark visions that plague her throughout her life. Cryptic messages from her parents, the support of a loving aunt and friends and the protection provided by an elusive character lead Tess onward to discover her true identity and purpose in life only to realize that the more she knows, the more she needs to learn.

In this wonderful debut novel, Jalpa Williby creates a story full of questions and surprises embedded in the fabric of an adolescence and young adulthood that is something more than typical. Excellent job! A great story with unique characteristics.

Review #2 by Bobbie Grob for Readers’ Favorite (5 stars- Chaysing Dreams)

Tessnia Sanoby may come off as just your average high school girl as Chaysing Dreams by Jalpa Williby gets going, but it soon becomes clear that there is far more going on inside of Tess than even she knows. As she excels through high school in both athletic and academic achievement and then moves on to college, bits and pieces of the mystery unravel, which kept me highly entertained. There have been quite a few YA fantasy novels to hit the shelves in the last several years, and I’ll admit to opening this one with a bit of a jaded mind. I had hopes that Ms. Williby had brought something new to the genre, but they were not high. As I slowly got sucked into Tess’s life and the life of her friends, her family, and even her dog, I was very pleasantly surprised. This book is familiar enough to be an easy read, and different enough that it kept me guessing.

Page one dropped me straight into a nightmare. The shock of that was a nice entry into Tessnia Sanoby’s world. The only problem Tess has with having an extraordinary life is that she has no clue that her life is anything but slightly-better-than average, even when it is obvious that most everyone around her is in on the secret. The juxtaposition of the incredible with the every day is beautifully done; Ms. Williby definitely knows her stuff. Intrigue? Absolutely. Mystery? More than I expected. Just another tweaked version of vampires, werewolves, and dragons? Absolutely not. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and will be waiting impatiently for the next installment.

Review #3 by Lorena Sanqui for Readers’ Favorite (5 stars- Chaysing Dreams)

Tessnia Sanoby, also known as Tess to her friends and family, met Joe Smith on her 16th birthday. Then he disappeared afterwards. Years later, as Tess was introduced to more men, they too continued to disappear. A mysterious guy entered her life in college, but left her with more questions than answers. What is happening to Tess and her life? Could it be because of Tess or is there something more sinister going on? Eventually, when tragedy hits, Tess becomes even more lost. What are the answers to the mysteries surrounding Tess and her world? Find out in Chaysing Dreams by Jalpa Williby.

I love this book; it was exciting and it was sometimes slow paced but it progressed well. After the middle of the book, the story began to really pick up in pace. There were more thrilling scenes and the romantic part of the story also developed. There are scenes in the book that are sexual in nature, so be warned before reading. They aren’t very erotic so it is acceptable.

I hope there is a next book coming out because many questions were left unanswered and many problems were still unresolved. I loved the ending, by the way, even though it wasn’t finished. What happened at the end was a nice twist. I think I’m going to visit Jalpa Williby’s website to know when the next book will be released.

Once again I was given a copy of this book by the author for my honest spoiler free opinion. I hope I do it justice.

I loved reading this book; there was not a moment that I wasn’t intrigued. Right from the start Williby sparks your interest with a “dream.” And not just any dream the same dream young Tess has had since she can remember…

This story is about the life of a 15 year old high-school student named Tessnia. She is a very bright young lady and very athletic. Her innocence screams off the pages. She has a goal for her life and everything is going according to plan. Tess has suffered from nightmares since she was a child. These dreams obviously hold some sort of meaning but they are brushed off because she doesn’t understand it. She continues on with her life and it seems that everything is plain ole ordinary. She has two amazing supportive parents and two amazing best-friends Jack and Kylie. She gets to go to her top pick college and is happy to start a new chapter in her life. You can’t help but envy her life, it appears that perfect.

Ahhh but “nothing is as it seems” because Tessnia is anything but ordinary and her life is about to change drastically. It is apparent that there are things going on with Tess that even she is unaware of. And it all starts with a man named Chris. Chasying Dreams was yet another emotional roller-coaster filled with suspense, grief and love and anticipation.

Tess meets Chris and there is an instant connection between them. This has only ever happened one time before and Tess finds herself captivated by him. I imagine Chris to look something like Chris Evans! Total hotness! He is mysterious, stand offish and extremely overprotected. He’s the type of guy you should run away from but feel the need to indulge yourself with! Chris gave me the feeling that of a tortured soul. He doesn’t think he deserves what he wants most in life. Oh and I can’t forget Gem what a precious dog! Such an awesome supporting character! I fell in love with the three of them.

Tess finds herself deep into a world that will only lead to dread and as I turned each page I got the feeling I was missing something. We are given enough information to warrant only more questions, never any complete answers and I think Williby wrote it well.

As a reader I felt all of Tessnia’s emotions happiness, regret, betrayal, grief, lack of understanding and most of all love.

Overall I loved it and I can’t wait to read book 2 because as I mentioned above I was left with so many unanswered questions, can you say cliffhanger!

I highly recommend this book to all you romance lovers out there!

Tess Sanoby is a 16 year old girl that keeps having the same nightmares, where a girl is being chased. Tess doesn’t know who she is because she can never see her face. She just knows she is terrified and is trying to run for her life. Is it her? Tess is a very smart and athletic and has a wonderful relationship with her parents and two amazing best friends in the world, Kylie and Jack. I love that Tess volunteers as The Angels, and she meets a handsome guy there named Joe. They have this great connection and he is singing You Are Beautiful. I love that we get to see Tess grow up from graduating high school them going to college.

You see Tess go through real life struggles and it’s horrible to see people in that situation.
Chaysing Dreams is a great book!!! You won’t be disappointed. I can’t wait to get my hands on the second book and see what happens to Tess. So if you love sexy, hot, romance, danger, and mystery, I strongly suggest you buy this book- 18 and up.

Dreams. They come to us in the night taking us to places both familiar and foreign. They have the power to give us both delight and horror. Dreams free us and bind us all at once. Those of us who remember each and every nightly adventure see it as either a blessing or a curse.

For as long as Tess can remember she has had the same reoccurring nightmare. Despite her best efforts she can not shake the same scene from playing night after night. Each morning she awakes with the same feeling of anxiety and confussion. What does it all mean? Are they random images stuck on repeat or is there something more behind them?

The author begins Tess’s journey as a teenager and develops her story over the course of a few years. It was great to see Tess grow from a typical teenage girl, to a hardworking college student, to a remarkable young woman. As the reader watches Tess grow up they get to witness key moments that will change her life forever. The ‘normal’ Tess thought she knew isn’t so normal after all.

The author’s writing was great! Her story development was spot on. She efficiently brought the characters to life. The dialogue among the characters was smooth and realistic. The one element of a novel I always take notice of is the authors use of words and their descriptions. Sometimes this can make or break a book for me. Jalpa nailed it for me with lines like, “The sky is the color of a robin’s egg with tufts of small, white clouds on the horizon.” Perfection! Also, I enjoyed the soundtrack of this novel. It brought the story to life and added a few new favorite songs to my iPod.

I am Jalpa Williby’s newest fan and I hope after reading Chaysing Dreams you will be too. Be on the look out for the next book in this trilogy.

Happy Reading!!

This book is not what I expected.

I was given Chaysing Dreams to read so I can create the book trailer for Chaysing Memories. I expected it to be like a lot of other romance novels I’ve read… Good but not original.

Boy, I was so wrong! The story was fresh, and the writing was so detailed I had a hard time putting it down, I couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next:)

You first meet Tess at the age of fifteen. You learn about her terrifying dreams and meet her two best friends Jake and Kylie. You watch Tess grow and easily become attached to her friends and family. I loved the way her friends took care of her when she struggled with a deep lost.

Tess is a great main character! She’s sweet & innocent, but also strong and determined. The romance in the book was my favorite part! The parts in the woods was beautifully written, yet at the same time preparing you for something big that is about to happen.

I can’t wait to read the second book, I have a feeling it’s going to be better than the first:) I recommend Chaysing Dreams to all Romance lovers… I would hate for you to miss out on such a great story!

In Chaysing Dreams, by Jalpa Williby, Tessnia Sanoby to have it all. She’s beautiful, athletic, and intelligent. She has a great relationship with her loving parents. Her strong friendships include Kylie and Jack. She’s earned her place on the high school varsity basketball team. She performs volunteer work with challenged children.

Below the glittering surface of her life is darkness. Tess has experienced freakishly realistic dreams, full of sight, sounds, and smells, for as long as she can remember. In her dreams, she is chased. Tess is terrified it’s going to catch her. If it does, then she is doomed. To blur the line between the dreams and reality, a handsome and charismatic young man’s piercing gray eyes appear in her dreams, urging her to safety. When Tess feels strong, unexpected connections to animals and experiences fear in the form of a black cloud in her waking hours, the darkness takes on a surreal shade.

After graduating at the top of her high school class and starting college at Stanford, Tess is on the track team. A man in a baseball cap observes the practices. When he removes his cap and helps coach the track team, Tess is bowled over. Chris is drop dead gorgeous with wavy blonde hair, blue eyes, and an Australia accent that sends shivers down Tess’ spine. A part of the school’s elite military training program, Chris starts training Tess on the weekends.

After suffering a shattering epiphany and profound loss, Tess reads a mysterious letter which changes her perspective on her entire life. She learns what Chayse really means. And her life takes an unexpected turn.

Ms. Williby has woven an excellent story with wonderful characters. With her descriptions and talented prose, Ms. Williby allows the reader to live Tess’ life with her. Experience Tess’ triumphs, fears, grief, and adventures in Chaysing Dreams. I can’t wait for the next installment in this thrilling trilogy.

We are introduced to Tessnia, the main character, via her nightmare, boding of something more sinister to follow. Tess confidently grows up, cosseted by her loving parents and supportive friends. She succeeds easily in everything, but her equilibrium is thrown off kilter my two mystery men. As she reaches young adulthood, further glimpses of mystery and suspense beckon.

This is Jalpa Williby’s first novel, which initially drew me in via its stunning cover. Her writing style and use of the first person instantly appealed. I wondered if it was a YA novel, as when we first meet Tessnia, she is fifteen. But don’t make this mistake as some steamy, romance scenes follow, which might not be for everyone.

I enjoyed learning about the supporting characters especially Jack and Kylie. Perhaps, through their career choices, their personas may be developed and involved in different ways if there is a sequel?

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book over a couple of days and quickly became immersed. Yet the more I read, the more I began to question was all as it seemed and whom could Tess really trust?

This was a really good read. The author has a great imagination, but more importantly, the ability to lay the story out in a solid way that never lets it get bogged down in descriptive text that doesn’t add to the story. Tess, the main character, is a loveable young woman. She’s bright and athletic, has a great family, and a good life. The author rounded her out so well, that you can literally see her as a real person. Her volunteer work at The Angels, and interactions there, are touching. Seeing her grow up before your eyes is also done so seemlessly. There was no jumping around, it just flowed perfectly.
The supporting charatcers are perfect, here, and they don’t get in the way with unecessary information. They carry out their supporting roles perfectly, but you know enough about them that you really like them, and appreciate the love they have for their friend, Tess, and each other. I don’t want to give too much away, but I will say the main male character is a hottie, and very…energetic! As mysterious as he is, you get such a sense of him from the author that you know him just as well. His motives, however, are suspect, and this gives you cause to keep a suspicious eye on him. For me, he was the whole source of the suspense.
This book does exactly what a good book should: you smile a lot, all the while the suspense is building- delicately, at first, and you find yourself trying to second guess the story, but you won’t figure it out, and that’s what makes the ending even better, and all the more shocking! I can see where there would be room for a sequel here, and I really hope she writes it. The story is so well told, and the characters so engaging and interesting that I wouldn’t mind seeing this come full circle!
A good read for all ages, but I think it will be particularly loved by the YA crowd, they will be able to connect with Tess on an even more intimate level, and so much of her life will resonate soundly for them.

“Chaysing Dreams” by Jalpa Williby is a fantastic debut novel. It combines romance, adventure, a coming-of-age tale and a touch of science fiction into one well-written and engaging package.

The book tells the story of Tessnia, a smart, athletic and accomplished high school student. She gets straight A’s, stars on the basketball team and the track team and volunteers at a facility for handicapped children in her free time. She’s looking forward to college and eventually following in her parents’ footsteps and becoming a doctor. It looks like her life is set on a straight path.

But there are hints that all is not as it seems. She has strange, recurring dreams. An encounter with a charismatic older man while volunteering throws Tess off balance when she’s powerfully and unexplainably drawn to him. The same feelings pop up again in college, when she meets the assistant trainer on the school’s track team.

At the same time, there are signs that Tess herself isn’t exactly what she seems – questions her parents don’t quite answer, things that her new assistant trainer says, the behavior of the pet dog Tess is given as a graduation gift, among others.

The author skillfully brings everything together in a conclusion that’s satisfying but also sets up very nicely for a sequel.

The characters, especially Tess, are well-drawn and believable. The book is told in the first person, from Tess’ point of view, and her voice is likeable and engaging. Tess is relatable, as she goes through all the ups and downs readers would expect of a young woman coming into adulthood. The supporting characters, including Tess’ best friend Kylie, her parents, and the mysterious trainer Chris, are equally well-handled, and I was left wanting more.

All in all, this is a very good, very exciting novel, and I’d highly recommend it.

Chaysing Dreams tells the story of a young spirited and strong hearted woman who has her whole life ahead of her. She is intelligent and more mature than her peers. She has charisma and a love for life. She is her own person. Out of the blue she meets a mysterious man who she instantly falls for. He has a deep secret though that he does not want to share with her. Tess soon finds out that she holds secrets too. How far is she willing to go for love?

I was immediately drawn into the story as the author was describing the main character, Tess. I felt her heart beat off of the page, she was that well described. I was able to follow along with the story as it went from scene to scene. I felt like I was right there with Tess. I was able to feel Tess as the story progressed. At one point in the story Tess gets very upset. I could feel her anger right off of the pages.

The sex is great. The chemistry between the lovers is incredible. You could really feel the passion that was between them. Grrrr.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story and I know that you will too. Five Stars!
