Sense8 Continues (Fanfic Chap 4)
Disclaimer: I own no rights to Sense8 or the characters. I’m simply writing this fan fiction to provide some closure to myself, as well as hopefully, other die-hard fans who are feeling lost like me.
Chapter Four
Unexpected Surprises
Wolfgang could tell he wasn’t alone. He contemplated whether he should open his eyes or pretend that he was still passed out. But the pacing back and forth with the clunking of the shoes on the hard floor was annoying the hell out of him.
Reluctantly, he opened his eyes, only to regret it as soon as he saw her.
“Well, well, so he rises again. You’re very stubborn, Wolfgang. Why don’t you do us all a favor and tell us where Whispers is,” Lila said, flashing her cunning smile.
“Leave me the fuck alone,” Wolfgang said, turning away from her. He didn’t recognize his own voice. His throat was dry, and it hurt. He couldn’t remember the last time they’d given him some water.
Lila grabbed his face and forcefully turned it back toward her. Her smile was now gone, her face and eyes had hardened. He’d seen this look before. It was the same determined look right before her kills.
“What do you want?” he asked. “Don’t you have people from your own cluster you can visit? Maybe they’ll appreciate your company more.”
That made Lila laugh. “You’re so naïve, Wolfgang. I’m not visiting you. No, sir. I’m actually here, right before your eyes.”
Wolfgang scanned the room and realized she was right. She truly was there. “You work for BPO, I presume.”
“I do now,” she agreed. “You see, the difference between you and me is that I’m a survivor. I’ll do whatever I have to do for self-preservation.”
“Again, I ask you, what the hell do you want from me?”
“Where are Whispers and Jonas?” she asked.
“Last time I checked, Whispers was in this room with me, torturing me. Remember? How the hell would I know where he is? I’ve been tied up here,” Wolfgang said, being very careful not to give anything away.
“You’ve had your cluster visiting you. And I know you can visit them. Find me Whispers,” she demanded.
“I’m sure they’re on blockers. How the fuck am I supposed to visit them?”
“Lies! I know at least one was here earlier. I’m assuming it was that Kala girl. Yeah, that’s right, I know her name, baby. Do you think Whispers wouldn’t tell me the information he has retreived from you? I work for him now, and he wants me to bring your cluster in. And now, he’s gone missing. So, we can do this the easy way or the hard way. Your choice,” Lila threatened.
“You can do whatever the hell you want,” Wolfgang hissed. “I can’t give you information I don’t have.”
“We’ll see,” she purred. With that, she took a knife and without any warning, stabbed it through his hand that was still tied up.
Wolfgang yelled in agony as the pain pierced through his body.

Kala screamed and tumbled to the floor, holding her left hand. She rolled into a fetal position, the pain unbearable.
“What is happening?” Capheus demanded, kneeling down and rolling Kala over, so he could get a better look.
The rest of the cluster hovered around her, concerned for their friend.
“It’s his hand,” Kala mumbled. “They did something. They’re torturing him again.” She couldn’t stop the tears from falling, knowing if it hurt her this bad, she could only imagine what it was doing to Wolfgang.
“She’s on blockers, though,” Sun said.
“Yeah, how is she feeling this?” Will asked.
“Because her connection to Wolfgang is very strong. Even with the blockers, I think she will be able to feel anything that’s intense,” Riley said.
“Now that Riley, Cepheus, and Lito are back with Whispers’ address, we have to go talk to him,” Sun said, facing Will. “I think he will crack.”
“No, I will be the only one talking to him. I don’t want any of you near him. Even with the blindfold on, he’s extremely dangerous. I don’t want him to hear your voice…your accent. We can’t take any chances,” Will said.
“Do you not think they can hear all this yelling we are doing through that thin door?” Sun asked.
Will signed. “Maybe so, but I still don’t want any of you near him. I don’t trust him. Believe me, the less he knows about the rest of you, the better. I’ll go and interrogate him now.”
But before he could go, Kala screamed again in pain. This time, she was holding her foot. Jamie and Amanita grabbed Kala and pulled her in their arms, hoping to give her some comfort.

“All you have to do is give me what I want, Wolfgang. It’s not like I enjoy torturing you,” Lila said, batting her eyes. “I mean just find out where they’re hiding Whispers.”
Wolfgang was clenching his teeth, refusing to allow her to break him. He would die before he’d sell his friends out. “Fuck you,” he whispered, his eyes full of hatred.
“Okay, perhaps I lied. Maybe I do enjoy torturing you. Hmm, let’s see, I think it would be kind of fun to play with you ear now.” She teased him with the sharp blade brushing against his ear. “Or better yet, perhaps I can take out one of your eyes. It just kind of sucks that I have to do this because you have such a beautiful face.” Lila continued to stroke his face with the knife. “Oh well, easy come, easy go.”
Kala saw Lila raise her knife, aiming for Wolfgang’s eye. Filled with rage, she reacted. With all the strength she possessed, Kala leaped toward Lila to stop her. Within seconds, Lila was on the ground, and Kala was on top of her. Instinctively, Kala began swinging, her rage about to explode. She had no idea how she was doing this, but she knew she had to stop Lila before she hurt Wolfgang any more.
“What the hell is going on?” Lila screamed, trying to cover her face from the invisible force.
Wolfgang couldn’t believe his eyes. How the hell was Kala able to visit him and fight this crazy bitch?
“What’s going on in there?” a voice demanded. “That’s enough for today, Lila. I don’t know why you’re rolling around on the floor. Come out! We need to talk.”
Kala stood up and watched Lila pull herself to standing. “This is not over yet,” Lila whispered to Wolfgang before leaving.
All Wolfgang could do was to stare at the love of his life before him. He could still feel the steam blowing out of her ears from fury. He wanted to pull her in his arms and protect her from the evil surrounding them. But, he didn’t dare acknowledge her presence. He knew he was being watched, and there was no way, he’d jeopardize Kala’s safety. But damn, he wanted to ask her so badly how the hell she did what she did.
Seeing his hand and foot soaked in blood, it was all she could do to not drape her body over him to protect him from further harm. She leaned toward him and kissed his lips. “I’m coming for you. Don’t you give up. I promise we’re getting you out of here.”

“What the fuck happened?” Lito asked.
Kala opened her eyes and Will, Sun, and Capheus were holding her down. “I’m okay now,” she whispered.
“You were swinging at somebody,” Will stated.
“It was Lila. She was going to stab Wolfgang through his eye.”
“Oh, no,” Jamie whispered.
“I stopped her.” Kala stood up and faced them. “Somehow, I was able to tackle her and stop her. It was like I was actually there. But it was better because she couldn’t see me.”
“What do you mean? It wasn’t through Wolfgang’s body?” Will asked.
“No, he was tied up. I’m telling you, I was so angry. I literally wanted to tear her heart out. I lost all control. Usually, I pride myself in keeping my control. But this was different. I became somebody else…I just reacted. I knew I had to stop her. And so I jumped on top of her and she felt my force. She was knocked down.” Kala frowned. “Do you know what this means? There’s so much more we can do. We just have to figure out how to do it.”
“Okay, noted. We will need to explore that because it’ll come in handy. I believe I’ve noticed such incidences in the past with us, although they were subtle. Right now, though, I need to know if he’s okay. What are they doing to him?” Will asked.
“For now, he’s okay. I think she stabbed his hand and foot. But then she got called out. Some male voice spoke in the intercom and said he needed to speak with her. We have to get Wolfgang out of there. I don’t know how long he can last.” Kala’s voice quivered just thinking about what was happening to Wolfgang.
“Don’t worry. I’m about to give Whispers and Jonas a taste of their own medicine,” Will hissed, furious with the new information about Wolfgang. With that, he entered the bedroom where the hostages were held and shut the door behind him.

Note: On June 29th it was announced that Sense8 will be back! For now, there will be a two hour special some time next year. YES!! YES!!! YES!!! I was desperately seeking closure, so FINALLY, it has been confirmed that we will be getting it from the brilliant writers who created this amazing story. On that note, I will now stop this fan fiction here and get back to writing my own stories. Yes, I did become completely nonfunctional when this show was cancelled. But now, I’m doing my happy dance and getting my groove back.

Sense8 Continues (Fanfic Chap 1)
Since the announcement of Sense8 being cancelled, I’ve had a very difficult time focusing on my own work. I’m just one of those people who needs closure. If anybody has watched Sense8 on Netflix, you know how it ends. It was a crazy cliffhanger ending, and frankly, I just can’t let it go.
I’ve been standing by my Sensate family from all over the world, doing whatever I can to try to convince Netflix to renew it. I don’t know what the future will hold for Sense8, but damn, I’m still heartbroken.
To help find my own resolution, I’ve decided to write this fan fiction. Writing has always been therapeutic for me, so, hopefully, this will do the trick. I will post chapters on my website as I complete them.
This fanfic picks up right where the season finale ends in Season 2. Wolfgang is captured and the cluster has come together to try to rescue him. They end up taking Whispers and Jonas as their prisoners and Will’s last words to Whispers are, “You want war? We’ll give you a war.”
I have no idea where the brilliant writers intended this story to go, so I’ll just listen to the voices in my head and write my own version.

Chapter One
Still Alive
He was lying there, still tied up…barely awake, barely breathing. Kala could feel his every emotion—rage, pain, anxiety, and even fear. But she knew he wasn’t fearful for himself. No, he was frightened for his friends. He worried for his cluster he would die for. It no longer mattered to him what they would do to him, but he didn’t want the same fate for any of them…especially Kala. His Kala needed to live. She had too much to offer to the world.
Now that Whispers knew her identity, she was vulnerable. He had to kill Whispers. Damn it! That was the main thing that kept him alive right now. The only way to protect Kala was to terminate Whispers once and for all.
It would be so much easier to just let it all go. At least the pain would stop. He would finally be able to find some peace. Death would be welcomed. But no, he had to stop Whispers. He would endure all the agony and torture to protect her.
“Wolfgang.” Her voice was soft and full of concern and pain. She was here.
When he opened his eyes, he saw her tear-soaked face leaning toward him. He could barely speak, but he managed to mumble, “Kala, you can’t be here. They’re watching me. He knows you. Whispers knows you.”
“No, it’s okay! Shh, don’t talk. You must save your energy. But don’t worry. We have Whispers. Do you know where you are?” She touched his face, caressing it softly…the same way she would when she needed to feel him. To make sure he was there. The same way when she’d tell him how much she loved him without saying a word.
“No, I don’t know. What do you mean you have Whispers?” he asked. He wasn’t sure if he heard her right.
“I can’t say much because I don’t know how much they’re getting inside your head. But, Will has a plan. We’re going to get you out of here. I swear it. But you have to promise me something…promise you’ll hang on.” Kala was desperate. She knew the torture he’d endured was too much for anybody, even Wolfgang.
“I don’t know what’s going to happen, but you can’t come back here. Too dangerous.”
“Just promise me you’ll hang on. I need you to say it,” she insisted, squeezing his hand.
Wolfgang knew she wouldn’t leave until she got her way. “I promise,” he whispered.
Kala leaned forward and kissed him. “I love you. Remember that. I’m nothing without you. Come back to me, Wolfgang.”
Her lips lingered on his and he closed his eyes, cherishing this moment. He never thought he was capable of loving somebody like he loved her.
“Oooh, I see she’s here again.” Lila’s taunting voiced echoed in the room.
Wolfgang flung his head toward her. All he wanted was to wrap his hand around that pretty little neck of hers until her last dying breath.
“What is it?” Kala asked, immediately recognizing somebody else was in the room with them. “Is it Lila?”
Wolfgang remained silent, but pure hate was reflecting in his eyes. Finally, he turned to Kala and begged, “Just go. Please, you must go.”
Rage ignited inside her, and on impulse, she jumped into Wolfgang’s body. She needed to see the woman she hated so much.
“So, Wolfgang, I’m here to tell you that I’m going to find this love of your life and the rest of your cluster. When I do, you’ll get to watch me tear them apart, piece-by-piece. But first, your beloved will witness you and I making love. One way or another, you will be mine,” Lila continued as her hand travelled down his chest and rested at his groin. “You’ll see.”
Kala glared at her through Wolfgang’s eyes. “Over my dead body,” she promised.
Lila laughed, throwing her head back. “There’s not much you can do right now. Your words mean nothing because you see, Wolfgang, you’re the one who’s tied up and completely helpless.”
Kala continued to stare at her enemy straight into her eyes. “You will die, Lila. And I’m the one who’s going to kill you,” she swore.
Struggling to free herself, Kala tried to leap toward Lila. She’d never been a violent person, but right now, she wanted to suck the life out of the evil bitch.
“Kala, wake up! You’re dreaming.” Sun shook Kala when she saw her friend yelling and flailing about in bed.
Flinging her eyes open, Kala recognized the one bedroom apartment that had been their home in London for the past two days.
“He’s still alive,” she whispered, closing her eyes. “He’s still alive.”
Sense8
The other day, I walked into my husband’s “man cave” with my laptop. I figured while he watched his shows, I’d work on my writing. I was barely paying attention, but when I heard Indian music, I glanced up. There was Bollywood style dancing going on at some Indian party with men and women on the show. Instantly, I turned to my husband and asked, “What show is this?”
“Sense8,” he answered as he continued to watch the screen.
I was intrigued because they were portraying the Indian culture perfectly, so I sat through it and watched the rest of the show. And just that quickly, I was hooked.
Within couple of days, I watched all of the shows and even went back to see some of favorite scenes again. Now, I don’t typically watch TV. I just don’t have time like that because of my full time job and my writing career. But, I decided to put everything to the side because I just had to know what happened in this show.
So, what is Sense8 about? Hmm, very difficult to explain. It definitely has a sci-fi element to it… But it’s so much more. For me, it’s about diversity and love. It’s about accepting others for their differences. It’s about standing up to what you believe in no matter how confusing or difficult it may be. It’s about good vs evil and about making some tough decisions. I have laughed and cried in this show… yelled and screamed at the characters for doing dumb things. Ugh, I can’t say enough good things about Sense8. I love every single one of the characters.
Here’s a brief description of the characters (Note: There may be spoilers)
Will– Chicago cop
Background: good guy, wants to fight for justice, first of the sensates to really start figuring out what’s happening with them. Takes on sort of a leadership role. He’s very close to his father.
Riley: From Iceland but lives in London.
Background: She’s a DJ and pretty much is on her own. Her father is in Iceland, but she’s afraid of returning because of something major that had occurred in the past. She is the most connected with Will, and he ends up saving her quite a bit throughout various incidences.
Kala: India
Background: She’s a pharmacist and is engaged to a very successful and wealthy Indian man. It’s an arranged marriage in a way because she doesn’t love him. She feels pressures from the Indian culture and wants to do the “right” thing to make her parents happy. The problem is, she keeps having vision of Wolfgang (another sensate). Eventually, she forms a strong connection with him and becomes emotionally attached to him. I love this story because of my Indian background. I think they portrayed the Indian culture very well and the pressures from the society. Now, my only wish is Kala would please just follow her heart and not worry about all the other BS.
Wolfgang: Germany
Background: First of all, I think he may be my favorite character. He’s a very intense guy. He’s had a messed up childhood and crazy upbringing. His entire family is basically in the mafia. This guy is pretty messed up and can be a coldhearted killer. But, like Kala said to him once, “There’s something good and beautiful hidden inside you.” I just hope Wolfie finds some peace. He’s very attached to Kala but also knows that she deserves better. He can’t offer her anything, because after all, he’s a criminal. Besides that, he knows that her life would be in danger if it was discovered how much he cares for her. So, as far as I’m concerned, he makes the ultimate sacrifice and pushes Kala away. He tells her to marry Rajan (the Indian guy she’s engaged to).
Ugh, broke my heart! I can only hope Kala and Wolfgang end up together in Season2 and say screw the world.
Lito: Mexico City
Background: He’s a famous actor who also is gay. The thing is, he hasn’t had the courage to tell the world that he’s gay. He has a steady boyfriend (I LOVE HIM)! But, they keep their relationship hidden. Lito story is discovering himself and figuring out how to get the courage to do the right thing. Unfortunately, this could cost his career. I love Lito’s story because I’m sure there are so many who go through the same thing as him. He contributes to the Sense8 force with his acting skills.
Nomi: San Francisco
Background: She’s transgender and a lesbian. Her mother is nuts and thinks Nomi needs brain surgery. Nomi is basically on the run and hiding out with her girlfriend. Nomi is also a hacker…a very intelligent hacker. I liked how she steps up to go after the bad guys.
Capheus: Africa
Background: Very poor and mother has HIV. His sole purpose it to make a living for his mother and get her the medications she needs. He gets messed up with the gangs in Africa and gets himself into some crazy situations.
Sun: South Korea
Background: Probably another one of my favorite characters. This girl can kick some ass. LOVE HER! She’s from a culture where women are not seen as equal to men. Her entire life, she has been trying to impress her father. She ends up in jail for taking the fall for her brother’s crimes. Her story touches my heart. As crazy as her life is, she remains strong and focused. Whenever one of the sensates is in trouble, Sun is there to get them out of the jam. Yeah, she’s pretty badass.
Now, on to Season 2. I saw the first episode but unfortunately, we have to wait until May 5th to see the rest. What would I like to see in Season 2?
- I want sensates to use their strength and go on offense. They are strong together. Each will need to bring something to the table and hunt Whispers down (that’s the bad guy). I’m tired of seeing Will in the state he is currently. Helpless and hopelss. Nope! They gotta fix this very fast. I mean, why can’t Kala use her knowledge to get Will into more alert state, yet still able to block Whispers from entering his mind?
- As much as I love Riley and Kala, I would like to see them more focused on the mission and show how they can fight the evil. I loved how Riley was able to overcome her emotional trauma and save Will. And I loved how Kala built that bomb to save Wolfgang. I want to see more of their fighting spirit.
- Sun has to get out of jail. Damn, it’s breaking my heart. It’s not right what’s happening to her. She needs to get out, confront her brother, and go get her dog back. Oh, and more of her fight scenes please. They are freakin’ amazing!
- Okay, they have to fix Wolfgang and Kala’s story. It’s obvious they love one another. I mean, isn’t the whole show about how love conquers all? I was disappointed she follows what the society and the culture expects her to do. To me, that’s a sign of weakness. I want her to do some soul searching and go after what she wants. Listen to her heart. (Believe me, I should know since I’m in an interracial marriage. No, it’s not easy as an Indian woman. But, courage comes from deep within, and you have to find it to do what’s right for you). I want Wolfgang to love himself and realize he deserves her. That he deserves to be happy. I want him to get out of all that mafia craziness somehow (he never wanted it anyway) and fight for her. Oh, by the way, LOVE his friendship with his “brother by choice.”
- Can I say that Rajan totally gets on my nerves? He’s too nice! Nobody is like that. It’s not real. Every time he’s around, he makes me cringe. In Season 2, I really hope we see another side of him. I mean, for all we know he could be connected with Whispers somehow. Or he could be doing some illegal stuff (drug dealings). They own that pharmaceutical company, so you never know. There has to be more to Rajan. Ugh, get rid of him.
- Lastly, I’d want all 8 of them to be together for real at least one time. Like not just their images. I want them to be physically together.
Ok, so that’s my ramblings of Sense8! Go watch it. Great show! There’s a lot of violence and sex, so be prepared.
